You're essentially traveling the world on a floating hotel. Yes, you have to perform on most nights. But, that's why we do what we do.
Where can Cruise Ship Musicians expect to go? Are they able to explore destinations?
Italy, Spain, Greece, Caribbean, Hawaii, Asia, Antartica…you name it. If you plan to perform on cruise ships for a few contracts, chances are you’re going to step foot in more places than you could possibly imagine. It's literally getting paid to travel the world and play music everyday. You'll be amazed at the amount of time you have to go ashore and explore these incredible destinations. Also, most cruise lines offer shore excursions to not only guests, but to crew as well, so this can allow you to really soak up the experience. Guests pay thousands of dollars for these cruises and as a cruise ship musician, you get to enjoy all the benefits too.
Perform With World-Class Musicians Everyday
These positions are very competitive, but what that brings is…the best of the best. We've done these very contracts and the talent you'll work alongside soon becomes one of the most rewarding aspects of the gig. You'll be surrounded by other world-class musicians everyday and the friendships you'll make along the way can last a lifetime. Making A Great Paycheck
As a professional musician, your music comes first. But, to know you are making high dollar on a steady basis can certainly be a bonus. As a cruise ship musician on board, you earn a nice paycheck and…nearly everything is paid for. Therefore, the money you make can be used to pay off student loans, house payments, a new instrument, or to grow your savings account. Some Things To Remember
All Cruise lines have a Zero-Tolerance Policy when it comes to drugs, alcohol, or any sort of harassment. They take this very seriously and so do we. Employment is conditional upon passing a pre-employment medical exam (PEME) and prospective new hires should allow about 4-6 weeks for processing. If you're new to ships, be prepared to get some paperwork done! However, here at Flagship, we make the process as smooth as possible and assist you step-by-step.
